Discipline: Putting it into Practice

This practical "how to" workshop was created for supervisors and managers who face the difficult issues involved in disciplining employees, and who need to know the importance of performance evaluation and counseling, what forms of discipline are available and appropriate, the principles of progressive discipline, how to determine whether disciplinary measures are justified, due process requirements, Skelly notices and conferences and post-disciplinary hearings. The interactive format of this workshop is designed to maximize the involvement of participants and give them a "hands on" sense of how to apply the necessary principles and procedures in their own work environment. The workshop format includes discussion and assessment of typical scenarios, as well as an accompanying comprehensive workbook.
