The ever changing economy and hardships and budget cuts facing community college districts are forcing districts to rethink how they contract for goods and services. This session will analyze options available to districts for contracting for goods and services to assist in saving costs and risks, including when it may be useful for your district to pursue alternatives to competitive bidding. This session will also discuss the basics of contract law, what are the essential elements of a contract and what provisions you should look for in a contract for goods or services.
