Abigail (Abby) Clark is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. She is a thoughtful and strategic employment litigator, with significant experience representing public agencies during all stages of the litigation process in state and federal court. She has successfully defended clients against single and multi-plaintiff discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, whistleblowing and section 1983 First Amendment claims. She has also won several Ninth Circuit appeals. In addition, she regularly provides advice and counsel to clients regarding employment matters and pre-litigation commercial contract disputes.
Abby also contributes to the firm’s Business and Facilities practice, advising community college districts, special districts, independent schools and non-profit entities regarding governance, ethical issues, licensing, vendor contracts and disputes, leases and facilities use, property issues, construction, and other business needs.
Prior to joining Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Abby worked for five years at an international law firm where she represented corporate clients in chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, cross-border insolvency matters, and litigation matters.
Abby earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where she participated in the Public Contract Law Journal, the Immigration Clinic, and the Domestic Violence project, was a Constitutional law tutor, and graduated cum laude. She attended Dartmouth College, where she was a dual-varsity athlete, obtained a B.A. in Government, and graduated cum laude.
