
Shelline Bennett has represented management
in labor and employment law matters for nearly 15 years. She has an
extensive litigation background and has represented employers in cases
in both federal and state courts, in such matters as complex wrongful
termination, discrimination, and harassment lawsuits.
Shelline’s practice
also includes arbitrations, mediations, investigations, and advice and
counsel in all employment-law matters. Shelline represents a range of
employers not only in court but before the Department of Fair Employment
and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Labor
Commissioner, and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
As Managing Partner of
the Fresno office, Shelline brings her extensive legal and management
expertise to the numerous trainings and workshops she presents on topics
including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour,
medical leave, discipline, hiring, firing, and prevention of
litigation. Shelline is also a community correspondent labor law expert
attorney for the local Fox (KMPH) affiliate network news.
This year Shelline
becomes Vice-Chair for the Litigation Section of the Federal Bar
Association. Prior to becoming Vice-Chair, Shelline has served as the
Secretary/Treasury for the organization.
Prior to joining
Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Shelline was a Managing Shareholder for a
large national labor and employment law firm and managed their Central
Valley office.
