
David Urban, of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s
Los Angeles office, provides representation and legal counsel in matters
pertaining to labor and employment law. An experienced litigator, David
has represented clients in alleged employment discrimination, Fair Labor
Standards Act, state wage and hour, class action, free speech, trade
secrets, whistleblower and collective bargaining rights cases.
Prior to joining the
firm, David practiced litigation at a large Los Angeles firm where he
concentrated in labor and employment, government contracts, False Claims
Act, intellectual property, and professional liability matters. He
contributed to the ABA Treatise The Fair Labor Standards Act. David
was also named in Los Angeles Magazine among “Superlawyers 2004” for
business litigation.
After law school, David
clerked for the Honorable Pamela Ann Rymer on the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the Ninth Circuit.
David earned his Juris
Doctorate from University of California School of Law in Los Angeles
where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as Chief Managing Editor
of the UCLA Law Review. David received his Bachelor of Science in
Physics from Duke University.
