With another legislative session over, the Legislature has once again introduced a number of bills intended to implement reforms to law enforcement and policing in California, even as legislative reforms passed in 2021 are still being implemented. This one hour webinar will cover the ins and outs of new legislation that will significantly affect the administration and day-to-day operations of public safety departments in a variety of ways, as well as an update on the ongoing implementation of last year’s police certification framework.  This webinar will help attendees understand and navigate legal changes that laws that will impact the administration and personnel management of public safety departments, including laws affecting civilian oversight and reporting, use-of-force policies, elimination of bias, minimum qualifications, work-related injuries, and more.
