The disability retirement process can often be a confusing and challenging process.  This presentation will cover best practices as to when employees are eligible for industrial disability retirement and when and whether the employer should file an application on the employee’s behalf. We will also cover what happens when a terminated employee applies for industrial disability retirement, including the obligation by the employer to begin paying Advanced Disability Pension Payments and when that obligation is triggered.
