2022 Legislative Update for Public Safety

CATEGORY: Webinars
DATE: November 09 2021, 10:00 am

While every year brings change to the laws that impact public safety, the Legislature in 2021 was particularly busy enacting bills intended to implement reforms to law enforcement and policing in California, including an entirely new statewide framework for investigating and potentially decertifying peace officers who are accused of serious misconduct on duty.  This two hour webinar will cover the ins and outs of this new process, as well as other legislation that will significantly affect the administration and day-to-day operations of public safety departments in a variety of ways.  This webinar will help attendees understand and navigate changes to personnel laws that will impact the management of public safety departments, including laws affecting peace officer personnel records, use-of-force policies, recruiting, discipline, and civilian oversight.

Who Should Attend:
Public Safety Supervisors, Managers and Executives, Human Resources Professionals and Risk Managers.

Please note that one registration equals one connection to the webinar. Links cannot be shared.
