Updated Cal/OSHA-Compliant Template COVID-19 Prevention Program (“CPP”) for Independent Schools

On June 17, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (“OSHSB”) readopted an amended version of the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Regulations (8 C.C.R. §§ 3205 – 3205.4). The amendments will require that employers update their COVID-19 Prevention Programs (“CPP”) in order to protect the health and safety of the workplace in the manner that Cal/OSHA now requires. (8 C.C.R. § 3205.) The updated CPP template provides for each of the regulatory amendments, so that employers understand the changes to the law, and provides commentary on the substantive amendments, so that employers better understand the implications of the regulatory changes and how those changes may affect their legal obligations and authority. Also included with the updated CPP template is a separate reference guide that identifies the most important regulatory changes so that employers may more easily identify and modify provisions of their operative CPP, policies and practices in order to comply with the amended regulations.
