Five Liebert Cassidy Whitmore Attorneys Named Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

Los Angeles, CA (June 27, 2019) – Liebert Cassidy Whitmore is pleased to announce that five attorneys have been selected as 2019 Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. Partners Shelline Bennett and Richard Bolanos were named Northern California Super Lawyers while Associates Abigail Clark, Erin Kunze and Matthew Nakano were ranked as Rising Stars. All were selected for their diligent representation of clients in Employment & Labor Law matters. 

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected as Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5 percent are selected as Rising Stars.

2019 Northern California Super Lawyers

Partner Shelline Bennett, located in the Fresno office, is receiving this honor for the 14th time. Shelline has an extensive background in litigation and labor relations, representing public sector management in labor and employment law matters for over 20 years.

Partner Richard Bolanos , located in the San Francisco office, is receiving this honor for the 10th time. Rick represents California cities, counties and special districts in labor relations and negotiations.

2019 Northern California Rising Stars

Associate Abigail Clark, located in the San Francisco office, advises the Firm’s public agency clients regarding defense- side employment litigation, and provides strategic advice and counsel to community colleges and schools in employment, education, and business and facilities matters.

Associate Erin Kunze, located in the San Francisco office, has been named to the list for her third consecutive year. Erin provides representation and legal counsel to clients on a variety of employment and education law matters, including retirement, labor relations in the public and private nonprofit sectors, public safety, and advice on day-to-day operational issues for schools. 

Associate Matthew Nakano, located in the San Francisco office, advises and represents cities, counties, special districts, public school and community college districts in cases involving leave issues, employee discipline and termination, layoffs, and general personnel matters.
