New Partners Continue Long Tradition of Women Leaders at the Firm

Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2014) - Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW) is pleased to announce that Connie Chuang Almond and Elizabeth Tom Arce have been named Partners effective October 1.

Elizabeth (Liz) Tom Arce is an accomplished advocate with experience litigating a wide array of labor and employment cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Liz has successfully represented employers in matters ranging from single plaintiff lawsuits to wage and hour class and collective actions. Her litigation experience includes numerous successful summary judgment motions, defeating class certification, and decertifying collective actions. Liz's litigation practice also includes handling matters in arbitration and before administrative agencies where she has been effective at obtaining favorable results for the firm's clients. Liz received her JD from the St. John's University School of Law and her BA from the University of Southern California.

Connie Chuang Almond represents LCW's clients including cities, counties, and special districts in labor negotiations, various administrative forums, and litigation. An experienced labor negotiator, she has worked closely with chief administrative officials and governing bodies to assist public agencies in achieving their policy goals and objectives. She is experienced in all stages of negotiations from preliminary bargaining phases to fact finding to finalizing agreements, while maintaining an organized approach in order to maximize the chances of attaining bargaining objectives. Connie has also successfully represented public employers in matters before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) and has often obtained favorable results prior to hearing. Connie received her JD cum laude from the Pepperdine University School of Law and her BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
