The LCW Labor Relations Certification program is designed to provide labor relations practitioners education combined with practical hands-on experience in a variety of core areas. Each workshop includes both traditional training and interactive simulations to develop skills helpful to labor relations professionals. Cynthia has over three decades of employment law experience, which allows her to efficiently provide clients answers, options and solutions. Whether a client needs an employment agreement, a vendor contract, to discipline or motivate employees, or advice regarding a myriad of state and federal employment laws, Cynthia is there for clients and completes the work on deadline.
Isabella Reyes is an Associate in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s San Francisco Office where she provides representation and counsel to clients in matters pertaining to employment law and litigation. Isabella assists counties, cities, and public education clients in a full array of employment matters, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII, Title IX, the ADA, FEHA, and various federal and state statutes.
Anthony is an Associate in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s San Francisco office where he provides representation and counsel to clients in all matters pertaining to labor and employment law. In advising and counseling clients, he particularly focuses upon employee leave rights, including under the Family Medical Leave Act and Families First Coronavirus Response Act; workplace privacy issues; the disability interactive process; and the Peace Officers Procedural Bill of Rights. As a litigator, Anthony represents public agencies in both state and federal court on a myriad of claims, including discrimination, harassment, due process, and other constitutional claims. He has experience with all aspects of litigation and all manners of legal drafting, including initial pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial briefs.
Partner Laura Schulkind leads the firm’s Public Education Practice Group. With over 30 years of experience, Laura is a sought-after education-law expert in a wide range of areas that confront California’s public school and community college districts. Her areas of expertise include district governance and board efficacy; ethics and conflicts of interest; government transparency under the Brown Act and Public Records Act; student rights and discipline, including FERPA, Title IX, DACA, and serving students with disabilities under Section 504 and the IDEA; academic, certificated and classified evaluation and discipline; administrator contracts and evaluation; employee leave rights and the interactive process; contract grievance arbitration; unfair labor practices charges before PERB; labor negotiations with academic employees; harassment; employee misconduct investigations; and discrimination complaints made to outside bodies including OCR, EEOC and DFEH. Laura also taught education law in UC Berkeley’s Principal Leadership Institute for ten years.
Suzanne Solomon is an experienced trial lawyer who has represented public entities, private companies and individuals in a wide range of employment disputes for over 20 years. At Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Suzanne's litigation practice focuses on defense of single- and multi-plaintiff employment claims for discrimination, retaliation, harassment, violation of wage and hour laws, due process, First Amendment retaliation, and numerous other tort and statutory employment law claims.
Jessica Tam is an Associate in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s San Francisco office. Kelly Tuffo has represented public agencies for over fifteen years.
