Brent Richardson

Brent Richardson has spent his legal career working for and with public agencies. Prior to joining LCW’s Fresno Office, Brent’s roles included General Counsel to a number of special districts and City Attorney for both the cities of Madera and Selma. He brings his vast expertise in municipal law, employment law, public safety, wage and hour, business contracts and facilities matters to aide LCW clients throughout the state. In addition to his advice and counsel practice, Brent is a seasoned litigator who handles all facets of defense-side employment litigation, from pre-litigation through jury trial and appeal.
As City Attorney, he provided legal guidance to the City Council, Planning Commission, Redevelopment Agency, Housing Authority and city staff. Additionally, Brent was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City Attorney’s Office, performed all aspects of legal representation for the city, and provided advice and legal opinions on a multitude of topics. As a manager he was also responsible for personnel matters and budgeting.
Brent obtained his J.D. from San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis California. As an undergraduate, Brent attended Fresno State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing.
