Nonprofit organization v. Individual (2023) – Won a five-year workplace restraining order on behalf of a nonprofit against one of the nonprofit’s former clients. LCW’s work included preparing the witnesses for hearing, drafting necessary documents, setting up a stakeout for the process server to serve the individual, and representing the nonprofit during the hearing.
Stebbins v. California Public Utilities Commission (2022) – Six week jury trial that resulted in a unanimous defense verdict, upholding CPUC’s decision to terminate its Executive Director for violating the merit principle in California’s constitution. The jury found that the CPUC had no retaliatory motive against the Plaintiff. This case was selected as one of California’s “Top Verdicts” of 2022 by the Daily Journal.
