California Public Utilities Commission (2022) – Six week jury trial that resulted in a unanimous defense verdict, upholding CPUC’s decision to terminate its Executive Director for violating the merit principle in California’s constitution. The jury found that the CPUC had no retaliatory motive against the Plaintiff. This case was selected as one of California’s “Top Verdicts” of 2022 by the Daily Journal.
