Jenai Howard
Associate
Jenai Howard is an Associate in the San Francisco office where she advises clients on education, labor and employment matters.
Prior to joining LCW, Jenai worked as a Research Assistant for two Professors at Santa Clara University School of Law where she conducted various kinds of legal research and co-authored a Criminal Law casebook. In addition to her role as a Research Assistant, during law school Jenai interned for the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the American Civil Liberties Union. In these roles, Jenai drafted campaign proposals, attended Congressional committee hearings, and drafted freedom of information requests. Before law school, Jenai was a Summer Assistant at the Supreme Court of the United States where she distributed petitions to the Justice’s chambers, handled public inquiries, and supported in leading interns through the Court’s filing process.
Jenai obtained her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law where she was a recipient of two CALI awards; the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Labor Law: The Public Sector and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Law and Policy. During her time at Santa Clara University School of Law, Jenai served as the Vice President of the Black Law Student Association and participated in the Galloway Moot Court Competition. As an undergraduate, Jenai attended UCLA where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
