Ronnie is an Associate in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s Los Angeles Office where he advises and represents public agencies in matters pertaining to labor and employment law, with an emphasis on public safety and public education. Recently, Ronnie was included in the inaugural edition of the Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch for his work in labor and employment.
Ronnie has experience in all phases of litigation, from the pleading stage through trial. He represents cities, counties, and public schools against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.
In addition to his litigation and trial work, Ronnie advises and represents clients in administrative hearings. He has successfully represented various public agencies in discipline appeal hearings, grievance arbitrations, and unfair practice charges. Ronnie routinely appears before the Office of Administrative Hearings, Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission, the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), the Los Angeles County Employee Relations Commission (ERCOM), the Employment Development Department (EDD), and before impartial arbitrators and hearing officers.
Ronnie is also an experienced trainer on multiple employment topics, including understanding the public service, managing the marginal employee, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Because of his fluency, he is one of a handful of attorneys that can provide clients with training in Spanish.
Prior to joining Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Ronnie worked as an associate with a Southern California law firm defending both public and private entities in litigation matters. During law school, Ronnie was on the Board of Governors for the Trial Advocacy Honors Program.
