Suneeta H. Israni

Suneeta H. Israni is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore where she represents public sector clients in labor, employment, and litigation matters. With significant prosecutorial and courtroom experience, Suneeta has established experience in criminal trial work, strategic case management, and legal advocacy. She has tried nearly 25 trials with more than 20 jury trials to verdict, including complex cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual battery.
Prior to joining LCW, Suneeta served as a Deputy City Attorney with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, where she managed a wide range of criminal matters from arraignment –through trial and was selected for a specialized rotation focused on child sex crimes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate cases and conduct forensic interviews. Her earlier legal experience includes work with a Southern California district attorney’s office, as well as internships with the California Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. District Court for the Central District, where she gained valuable experience in both appellate and federal litigation. Suneeta began her career as a middle school teacher through Teach For America, earning recognition for excellence in instruction and leadership, including being named a finalist for the Sue Lehmann Excellence in Teaching Award and receiving the PUC Schools Excellence in Teaching Award.
Suneeta earned her J.D. from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where she served as President of the Mock Trial Board, Senior Articles Editor of the Chapman Law Review, and a board member of the Moot Court Honor Board. She was the recipient of multiple scholarships and honors, including the Commitment to Service Award and recognition for oral advocacy. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Administration from Loyola Marymount University where she was named Graduate Student of the Year and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
