Margarite M. B. Sullivan is an Associate at the San Diego office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore where she provides advice and counsel in labor and employment law matters.
Prior to joining LCW, Margarite served as Senior Counsel at a notable Southern California law firm where she successfully defended clients in complex wage and hour class action matters, including those brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”). Her comprehensive skills extend to representing clients against single-plaintiff employment claims, encompassing wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Additionally, she defended school districts against claims pursuant to the California Education Code and the California Tort Claims Act. Margarite is an expert litigator, with experience in all aspects of the process, from taking and defending depositions to managing matters from inception to resolution.
Before assuming the role of Senior Counsel, Margarite served as an Associate attorney at another prominent Southern California law firm where she independently managed various legal matters. Her responsibilities included drafting responsive pleadings, handling discovery, preparing case assessments, and mediation briefs. Margarite excelled in multi-plaintiff and complex litigation matters, demonstrating a remarkable track record of settling cases during mediation.
Margarite earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
