Sergeant v. City (2022) – Successfully defended the city’s decision to terminate a long-time sergeant, who had a clean record, after the sergeant:  1) threatened a minor who was the subject of a welfare check; and 2) used an unlawful amount of force on a handcuffed and uncooperative arrestee, and used profanity to a subordinate officer who was trying to de-escalate the situation.
