COVID-19 Legislative Update: Ensuring Compliance with Recent Changes to State Law

CATEGORY: Webinars on Demand

At the end of the legislative session, Governor Newsom signed into law several bills related to COVID-19, including Assembly Bills 685 and 1867 and Senate Bill 1159, that change or will change certain obligations that your agency has related to COVID-19 related leave, reporting COVID-19 exposures and outbreaks in the workplaces, and the presumptions of work-relatedness for workers’ compensation claims. This webinar will discuss the legal requirements under each of these bills and what changes your agency may need to make to your policies and practices in order to comply with these new laws.

Who should attend:

Anyone in your agency who is responsible for ensuring compliance with employee leave and workers’ compensation obligations, as well as anyone who is responsible for communicating with employees and employee organizations on health and safety issues related to COVID-19.
