Senior Counsel
Scott Fera is a Senior Counsel in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s Sacramento office and an experienced workplace investigator. He regularly conducts investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee misconduct, policy violations, and Title IX matters. His investigative work spans public agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations, where he applies a deep understanding of employment law, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Scott has extensive experience overseeing complex investigations, including those involving high-profile individuals, sensitive allegations, and matters with significant legal and reputational implications. He has managed investigations related to student and employee misconduct, Title IX violations, and workplace harassment and discrimination claims. In addition to leading investigations, Scott advises clients on structuring and managing the investigation process, developing scopes of investigation, analyzing findings, and determining appropriate corrective action.
Beyond investigations, Scott provides strategic legal counsel and training to public agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations on a wide range of matters, including labor and employment law, business and facility use, supervisory skills development, governance, Title IX compliance, and student affairs.
Scott earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
