Approved Regulatory Action – Revisions To Title 5 Relating To Academic Progress Notice And Pause & Academic Renewal

The California Community Colleges Board of Governors approved regulatory action entitled “Academic Progress Notice & Pause and Academic Renewal.” This action was filed with the Office of Administrative Law and the California Secretary of State on March 18, 2026. The regulation becomes effective on April 17, 2026, 30 days from the date of filing. The college district may conform its policies and procedures to the regulatory requirements within one hundred and eighty (180) days of the effective date.
