Labor Commissioner Updates Whistleblower Notice
Assembly Bill (“AB”) 2299 required that the Labor Commissioner create a model list outlining employee rights and responsibilities under the current whistleblower laws for employers to post in their workplaces.
The Labor Commissioner has now published that updated list and confirmed that it meets the requirements set forth in Labor Code section 1102.8, subdivisions (a) and (b).
All employers should ensure that they post the updated list in their workplaces by January 1, 2025. Liebert Cassidy Whitmore attorneys are closely monitoring developments in relation to this Special Bulletin and are able to advise on the impact this could have on your organization.
