Cindy Rivas

Cindy Rivas is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, where she advises and represents clients in a variety of labor and employment law matters. Cindy brings a strong academic foundation and dedication to fostering inclusion for underrepresented communities to her legal practice.
Cindy earned her Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School, where she was recognized as a Loyola Scholar and excelled in courses such as Torts and Civil Procedure and Labor Law. She was an active member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, Women in Entertainment Law Society, Women’s Law Association, and Loyola Latinx Law Students Association – serving as Co-President during her 3L year, further demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and community engagement.
Cindy’s connection to LCW began during her time at LMU Loyola Law School. As a 1L, Cindy joined LCW as a Legal Education Access Pipeline (LEAP) Fellow with the firm and as a 2L, she came back on-board as a Summer Associate.
Prior to law school, Cindy graduated magna cum laude from University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. At UCLA, she served as Director of Communications for the UCLA Latinx Pre-Law Association and supported fellow students as a UCLA Transfer Student Mentor. She also gained experience as a Peer Mentor/Ambassador at College of the Canyons, where she guided first-year students toward achieving their academic goals. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Cindy uses her skills and background to support diverse communities.
