Dominique Armstrong

Dominique Armstrong is an Associate in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s Los Angeles office, where she represents public agency clients in labor and employment matters. She has experience handling employment-related litigation and counseling matters, including drafting pleadings in federal and state courts, preparing dispositive and discovery motions, negotiating settlements, and conducting workplace violence prevention trainings in compliance with California law. She has also advised unions and employee benefit trust funds on employment law compliance, giving her valuable insight into workplace regulations, labor relations, and risk management in the public sector.
Dominique previously served as an appellate attorney, where she researched complex legal issues, drafted appellate briefs and writs of mandate, reviewed trial records to identify appealable issues, and monitored recent California Court of Appeal opinions. Earlier in her legal career, she worked as a law clerk in private practice and nonprofit settings, drafting motions, conducting legal research, and assisting with civil and criminal matters.
Dominique earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she was a California Scholars Program scholarship recipient. During law school, she served as Acquisitions Editor of the Constitutional Law Quarterly and as President of the Black Law Students Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Spelman College.
