Effective July 1, 2026, SB 848 will require California private schools to adopt policies addressing professional boundaries between students and adults (including those working with and for the school) as well as among students. The law also requires schools to update their mandated reporting policies to reflect new legal requirements.
To assist with these new compliance obligations, LCW has prepared three model policies:
SB 848 requires updates to existing mandated reporter policies and the other two required policies are entirely new. As a result, compliance requires more than a simple policy revision.

Refund Policy
