Nathan T. Jackson is a highly skilled and aggressive litigator specializing in public agency employment law. Since joining Liebert Cassidy Whitmore in 2019, he has been at the forefront of defending government agencies in some of their most complex and high-stakes employment disputes. With a deep understanding of the intricacies of California constitutions, as well as extensive knowledge of relevant statutes and case law, Nathan has established himself as a leader in this niche and highly specialized area of law. His recent elevation to Partner, effective October 1, 2023, is a testament to his expertise and dedication.

Nathan has been involved in numerous high-profile cases over the past few years. Notably, he served as second chair in Alice Stebbins v. California Public Utilities Commission (2022), where he helped secure a unanimous defense verdict following a six-week jury trial. The case received significant media attention from outlets such as Law360, the Los Angeles Times, and ProPublica. Additionally, Nathan was instrumental in securing summary judgment in Rocha v. County of Fresno (2022) and played a key role in the defense team that successfully dismissed cases like Siipola v. City of Redding (2023) and Weigele v. Salida Fire Protection District (2023) in both trial and appellate courts.

In addition to his legal achievements, Nathan serves on the Litigation Practice Group Executive Committee and the Public Safety Practice Group Executive Committee at Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, where he helps guide the strategic vision of the firm’s litigation practice. Outside of the courtroom, he frequently presents on employment law issues to public agencies across California, including for the California Police Chiefs Association.
