Associate Ronnie Arenas represents public agencies in labor and employment law matters, with an emphasis on public safety and public education. Arenas has experience in all phases of litigation and represents cities, counties, and public educational institutions against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. He has successfully represented public agencies in discipline appeal hearings, grievance arbitrations, and unfair practice charges and routinely appears before Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), Los Angeles County Employee Relations Commission, the Employment Development Department, and impartial arbitrators and hearing officers.
About Megan Atkinson
Associate Megan Atkinson represents public entities in labor and employment law matters and provides clients with employment litigation services. In addition to counseling public safety clients on a variety of employment law matters, Atkinson also assists throughout the disciplinary process, from the initiation of an investigation through termination. She also litigates in both state and federal court and has experience from pre-litigation through trial.
About Alysha Stein-Manes
Associate Alysha Stein-Manes provides counsel to clients in labor, employment, and education law matters. She primarily works as a litigator, representing public agencies and non-profit educational institutions at all levels of the litigation process in state and federal court. Stein-Manes has litigated cases involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the employment context; due process; right-to-work and union fee issues; student and employee disability interactive process and accommodations issues; and the Public Employees’ Retirement Law. She also represents public agencies in disciplinary hearings before the Office of Administrative Hearings and in employment relations matters before the PERB.
