LOS ANGELESLiebert Cassidy Whitmore (“LCW”) is pleased to announce eight Northern California attorneys have been named 2020 Southern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.  Fresno and Sacramento Office Managing Partner Shelline Bennett and Partner Richard Bolanos were selected as Super Lawyers and Associates Tony G. Carvalho, Abigail Clark, Erin Kunze, Matthew Nakano, N. Richard Shreiba and Michael Youril were selected as a Rising Star for their diligence and dedication to the practice of the law.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected as Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5 percent are selected as Rising Stars.

2020 Northern California Super Lawyers

Fresno and Sacramento Offices Managing Partner Shelline Bennett, ranked for her fifteenth year, provides advice and counsel in all labor and employment-law matters to LCW clients. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Firm’s Investigation Practice Group.

Partner Richard Bolanos is ranked for his eleventh year. Rick has an exclusive practice representing California cities, counties, community college districts and special districts in labor relations services and provides oversight of complex personnel investigations and specialized advice and counsel.

2020 Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star

Fresno Associate Tony G. Carvalho, ranked for the first time, provides assistance to clients in matters pertaining to employment law, wage and hour, and litigation.

San Francisco Associate Abigail Clark is ranked for the second year. Abby advises the Firm’s public agency clients in employment litigation and provides strategic advice and counsel to community colleges and schools in employment, education, and business and facilities matters.

San Francisco Associate Erin Kunze, ranked for her fourth consecutive year, provides representation and legal counsel to Liebert Cassidy Whitmore clients on a variety of employment and education law matters including retirement and healthcare benefits, labor relations, public safety, and safety planning in schools.

San Francisco Associate Matthew Nakano is ranked for the second consecutive year. Matt advises and represents clients in all aspects of labor, employment and education law.

Fresno Associate N. Richard Shreiba, ranked for the first time, provides advice and representation to clients on labor, employment, and business & facilities matters. Richard litigates in both state and federal court and has experience from pre-litigation through trial.

Fresno Associate Michael Youril is ranked for the third year. Michael provides representation and legal counsel to Liebert Cassidy Whitmore clients in matters pertaining to employment and labor law. Michael has extensive experience in retirement law including CalPERS, the ’37 Act, and local retirement systems.
