The Trailblazer series is a special supplement developed by the business arm of the National Law Journal, and honors those individuals who are “agents of change.” 2020 marks the seventh year the National Law Journal has recognized attorneys who have made an impact in the litigation field.

Geoffrey S. Sheldon is the Chair of LCW’s Public Safety Practice Group and is one of the Firm’s most seasoned litigators. Geoff is also member of Litigation Practice Group Executive Committee and helps establish the Firm’s litigation policies and best practices. Geoff’s litigation practice extends to handling federal and state writs, injunctions and appeals. He has successfully argued cases in front of the California Court of Appeal, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the California Supreme Court.
In addition to his litigation practice, Geoff routinely provides advice and counsel to public agency clients and law enforcement and fire service executive associations with matters such as personnel management, investigations and discipline, unfair labor practices, grievances, medical and other types of leaves of absence, fitness for duty and disability accommodation, and public safety retirement issues.
