When unions try to block decertification elections by filing charges with the NLRB, it can be akin to telling workers, Shelline states, “you don’t know what you’re doing and we know better and we need to take care of you. Sometimes they [unions] do know better. But at the end of the day, I altruistically believe that employees know what they’re doing. … And if they’re saying decertify, then that’s what they mean.”
