Cindy Rivas

Cindy Rivas is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, where she advises and represents public agencies and community colleges in a range of labor and employment law matters. She brings practical experience handling complex workplace issues and is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, effective solutions for her clients.
Since joining the firm, Cindy has advised clients in matters involving the Public Employment Relations Board, disciplinary proceedings, and internal investigations for community college districts and other public entities. She has also authored opinion letters on issues involving employment, labor relations, and education law, and contributes to the firm’s publications, including the Special Bulletin on Executive Orders.
Cindy earned her Juris Doctor from LMU Loyola Law School, where she was recognized as a Loyola Scholar and served as Co-President of the Loyola Latinx Law Students Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating magna cum laude. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Cindy uses her skills and background to support diverse communities.
