Patrick Skahan
Senior Counsel
Patrick Skahan is a Senior Counsel in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore. In this role, Patrick provides advice and counsel to our public agency and nonprofit clients in all matters pertaining to business and facilities, employment law, discrimination, and litigation.
Prior to joining LCW, Patrick worked for southern California law firms providing advice and counsel as well as representation to public agencies and private clients. An experienced litigator, Patrick has appeared in both state and federal courts in a wide range of matters. He has trial and arbitration experience, and has also handled writs and appeals. In addition to his litigation practice, Patrick assists clients in business and facilities matters including real estate purchase agreements, contracts, and employee manual revisions.
Patrick served as a Legal Fellow at the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy where he assisted nonprofit local land conservancy with grant writing, legal research, and member outreach.
Patrick obtained his J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated cum laude. As an undergraduate, Patrick attended University of California, Berkeley, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
