Patrick Skahan
Senior Counsel
Patrick Skahan is Senior Counsel in the Los Angeles office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore where he advises public agency and nonprofit clients on business and facilities, employment, discrimination, litigation, and operational matters. His practice focuses on counseling clients on procurement, construction, and real property issues, as well as assisting with real estate purchase agreements, contracts, and employee manual revisions. Patrick focuses on providing practical guidance that supports compliant and efficient operations while minimizing risk.
Patrick also maintains an active litigation practice. An experienced litigator, Patrick has appeared in both state and federal courts in a wide range of matters and has experience handling trials, arbitrations, writs and appeals.
Prior to joining LCW, Patrick worked for Southern California law firms providing advice and counsel as well as representation to public agencies and private clients.
In addition, Patrick served as a Legal Fellow at the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, where he assisted the nonprofit land conservancy with grant writing, legal research, and member outreach.
Patrick obtained his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley.
