Ashley Riser

Ashley Riser is an Associate at the Sacramento office of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, where she specializes in providing expert advice and counsel in labor and employment law matters.

Prior to joining LCW, Ashley served as an Associate Attorney at a Northern California based firm, where she honed her litigation skills by managing a misdemeanor and felony caseload for clients charged with federal and state criminal offenses. Her responsibilities included representing criminal defendants in various court hearings, reviewing charging documents, analyzing discovery, and maintaining client and document management databases.

Ashley’s commitment to public service and legal excellence is evident from her tenure as a Post Bar Clerk and Certified Legal Intern at the Sacramento Public Defender’s office, where she managed a substantial caseload of misdemeanor and felony clients. Additionally, her experience as a Law Clerk at the Orange County Public Defender’s office further enriched her legal expertise, as she drafted legal documents and correspondence, contributing to the defense of clients’ rights. Ashley has also presented and published articles on various legal topics, including negligence actions in child sex abuse cases and the Economic Espionage Act.

Ashley earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of California, Davis School of Law and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Riverside.
